The concept of a term time winter sports trip is not familiar to enough schools in our opinion ! History, geography, English literature, foreign languages – they all travel on an annual trip, during term time, at some stage during their school career. A ski trip offers so many opportunities for students to learn about themselves, their associates, the world around them and foreign lifestyles, languages and cultures that we really do think that it should become a more widespread activity. Biased? Of course we are, but our observations are correct – and the students really do benefit.

One of the accusations levelled at ski trips is that they are elitist – they are only open to students with wealthy parents. One of the best ways of countering this argument is to travel during term time, when prices can be up to £250.00 cheaper than during February half term.

Add to this that we make supply cover payments to the tune of £650.00 for every group of ten full price paying students travelling on a term time trip – then the fantasy rapidly starts to turn to reality !

The educational value of term time trips is still recognised by many schools across the country, and they get huge benefits by travelling at this time of year. Even the school curriculum underlines the value of adventure activities.
