Exciting Developments from SkiHighDays and Rayburn Tours

I write to make you aware of a fundamental development in our business, and one which I believe will benefit both Ski High Days and our customers.

Over the last ten years our business has both grown and matured. The 100% repeat business from our Easter customers suggests that we continue to fulfil and surpass their expectations. Now, in order to develop our operations further and to improve the service that we offer, we have joined with Rayburn Tours of Derby, a tour operator with over forty five years experience in the school tours market. Rayburn Tours is a long standing and highly respected company and I consider that its management team share my attitudes and commitment to the quality of our service before, during and after your school’s week in resort. It also offers us the opportunity to benefit from a range of specialised personnel, greater buying power and more sophisticated information technology systems. Additionally, we will also be able to provide a greater range of destinations – although your old favourites will most definitely continue to be offered.

Rayburn Tours is also a specialist group tour operator, and I believe that this is very important to all of us. Its staff have a wealth of experience in organising large groups comprising primarily of school students and members of The Scout Association and Girlguiding UK. They also maintain the financial security derived from ABTA and ATOL that we have always offered you. Beyond this they are founder members of the School Travel Forum, have achieved the Quality Badge status from the Learning Outside the Classroom initiative and have a robust and comprehensive Safety Management System.

Thirteen years is a long time to remain in business (especially operating school ski holidays!) but forty five years is even longer! Therefore, we have persuaded Rayburn Tours to allow us to benefit from their longevity and adopt their trading name, and over the next year the Ski High Days brand name will be phased out.

We will be operating out of the Rayburn Tours offices, on Derby’s prestigious Pride Park and I am very excited by the opportunities for development offered by this collaboration and so are the staff at Rayburn Tours. I am happy to reassure you that little will change in the delivery of our services to you and I look forward to continuing our professional and personal approach to providing quality ski holidays abroad for many years to come.
