Campo Smith Village This elegant, space age building was conceived and constructed for the 2006 Winter Olympics, and it has left Bardonecchia a legacy which improves the resort no end. Doorstep skiing was never such an apt description – a gentle 50 m slide across to the “Smith” chairlift is all that is needed (stop for a coffee on the way if you are having trouble waking up !) and before you know it, you will be cruising the pistes with the best of them.

The apartments on offer are some of the best we have ever seen – barely two years old, and maintained to a high standard, they offer the last word in affordable luxury.

The on-site restaurant is handy for when the weather closes in, but don’t miss the short shuttle bus ride into the town to visit the designer label shops on “via Medail”. The on-site gymnasium and sauna and Jacuzzi are inclusive in the price, and are easily accessible. The swimming pool is a short walk away, and there are several other restaurants within a fluffy snowball’s throw for when you don’t fancy cooking that evening..
